The Demon was further discriminated against by the writers. While he joined Vampiro, he became his slave of sorts who got treated like dirt, but while The Great Muta joined, Muta became Vampiro's confidant and even a tag team partner! They fought together in a tag team match on the very next Thunder on July 26, 2000. Also it's very interesting to note, that on the same episode those two start a feud with another tag team pair. And this Tag Team pair, which has been recently formed and very popular, was called Kronik - and it featured, wait for it, a guy named Bryan Clark, a Sean Connery lookalike with huge body, and another huge guy named Brian Adams! Yes, this Brian Adams, who was the first Demon (see Chapters 4-7) before Dale Torborg, who recently rejoined WCW ( in late April I believe) and found a great success as part of a 2 men team Kronik
Muta and Vampiro ambushed them backstage, so, even thought the writer(s) didn't think about it, Brian Adams and Vampiro did get to have a feud after all, even if playing different characters
Muta and Vampiro fight some green tag team that night. Before the fight, Vampiro takes the microphone and tells everyone that Juggalos (ICP fans) are million strong and now have two more followers, Vampiro and The Great Muta. So again, his partnership with Muta is underlined while The Demon isn't even mentioned. The Demon isn't present by the way, but the commentators did mention the fact that it's interesting that he's not there.
The Great Muta and Vampiro obviously are doing good against the other guys (Sean O'Haire and Jindrak) and win easily. By the way, I really dislike Vampiro's new ICP clown makeup.
Anyway, right after they win, God Of Thunder starts playing! The Demon simply walks out, without sarcophagus or cape, as he does now, spits blood, grabs the two tag team guys that just lost and throws them back in the ring.
Tony Shiavone: The Demon, Dale Torborg, under the spell of Vampiro has come out. (...) The man used to be Dale Torborg, used to be a man
Well, I expected him to turn his back on Vampiro but no, he does Love Gun on the two poor guys, I guess to prove his loyalty or expecting an acknowledgement and leaves the ring. While he does that, another theme starts playing and Kronik, Bryan Clark and Brian Adams (!) come out! Vampiro and Muta await them.
Kronik attacks Muta and Vampiro since they are the ones who are in the ring. Adams, being a big guy he is, lifts Vampiro like a rag doll
The Kronik team completely obliterates Vampiro and Muta. Here's Brian Adams screaming in triumph
The Demon did not get involved. How weird is it to have the two, and never mention the connection? I strongly believe the writers at the time were either unaware of it or assumed that people don't remember.
On the following Nitro, July 31, Sting had a match with Booker T. During the fight, Sting gets pulled under the ring by The Demon who was hiding there, and beat up. Eventually, Sting loses the match and after he does, he goes straight under the ring and pulls The Demon out, immediately giving him a series of blows.
He knocks him around against barricades and that's when Vampiro and Great Muta come in to attack Sting. Booker T tries to save Sting but Jeff Jarrett appears and knocks Booker out with a guitar and a chair over his head.
Vampiro and Muta take dizzy Sting and close him in Demon's sarcophagus, which The Demon then lights on fire by spitting fire on it! Unfortunately, it is for obvious reason the last time we see the sarcophagus
The trio has now two new groups which they have feuds with, one is Kronic, the other one is Sting & Booker.
