At this point every Nitro and Thunder episode continues The Demon vs Vampiro story and it gets quite a spotlight. It isn't some throwaway filler gig, it's actually a strong B story getting a lot of attention right behind the A story. And now it looked like Sting was getting involved. As Tony Shiavone said, "We're following one of the most bizarre stories we've seen in a long time, between Vampiro and The Demon also known as Dale Torborg
On the next show, which was two days later on June 28 on WCW Thunder, we see Vampiro looking for Dale Torborg and Asya with a baseball bat and going into some dressing room and finding the Sting mask there, placed in such way that it faces him. He loses it and then goes onstage, or actually, on the ring with a microphone. He underlines the fact that he let Asya live and that he beat Dale on Nitro in the boiler room. He's upset about being attacked by a person in a Sting mask, and he clearly states that he thinks it was Asya. Suddenly the lights go off and when they turn back on, there are two hooded and masked figures in the ring. One reveals herself to be Asya and spits on Vampiro's face, while the other one happens to be Dale with a baseball bat.
He attacks Vampiro and lights go off again. This time, when they go back on seconds later, Asya and Dale are gone, but another mysterious hooded person is standing on top of the rafters. Of course the inference here is that it's most likely Sting returning
