Chapter 14: The Fast Losses: Bam Bam Bigelow and Booker T - February 9 & 14, 2000

February wasn't kind To Dale Torborg's Demon. Not that any month really was, but February especially undeniably underlined the fact that this character does not stand a chance because of the WCW suits. First he lost with Billy Kidman on February 7th, then just a day later he loses so badly it's almost comical, or maybe it was intended to be so. February punished Dale Torborg for trying to fight for the character behind the scenes

On February 8th WCW Thunder, The Demon was facing Bam Bam Bigelow. The sarcophagus rises as usual, the commentators yet again praise how impressive The Demon's entrance routine is.

Mike Tenay: "The mysterious figure representing the rock group Kiss. And what an incredible ring entrance for The Demon"

The sarcophagus opens, The Demon steps out...

And suddenly out of nowhere Bam Bam Bigelow appears and hits him with a stick on the head knocking him out, going for the count immediately and winning. So, they never even got to the ring and Bigelow won. If you count the fight from when Bigelow appears onscreen, it lasts one second.

As a side note, this is the last time we see The Demon with the upper half of his costume

People behind the scenes wanted to show Dale Torborg his place I guess, because even thought the character wasn't doing all that great to begin with, now it was beyond bad. I mean he gets defeated after taking a step out of the sarcophagus.

It's almost the same thing in the next WCW show, which was Nitro on February 14th. He faces Booker T who was getting a big push at the time. The Demon came out first, in his grand entrance. During his introduction, the commentators announce Kiss' Farewell Tour. They also praise The Demon for a good performance and say the "kid can really wrestle"

The Demon spits blood again and gets props from the commentators for being a good entertainer

The Demon gets to hit Booker T with an elbow and then...and then gets defeated after less than a minute. Adding Kidman to the equation, it's three embarrassing losses in a row in one month.
